In 2018, Producer Shane Theriot and I started the process of completing the tracking for this album. I basically built a studio inside of Mac's (Dr. John) house to get all of his vocal performances. We felt it would be easier to get vocals from him at home in his unpredictable condition. We went back every day we could over the course what I think was about a month or two. I even made deals with the neighbors for them to all put their dogs inside whenever we worked because of noise leakage. It was not an easy process and Mac would have good days and bad days but im extremely proud of the work we did and honored to be a part of this legacy. I appreciate Shane bringing me in on it.
